I love designing pieces that integrate into a woman’s life and make her feel confident. As Design Director at LeTote, I was able to fulfill that desire and create an in-house private label division which included over 13 diverse brands. Identifying core customer needs through user data, feedback and purchasing behavior, I built and refined each brand to appeal to a different aesthetic. Private label accounted for over 50% of the inventory and 47% of the net profit on purchases within the first year.
During my time as a Designer at Gymboree, I had the opportunity to work with both older girl and newborn/layette collections. I felt extremely lucky to be designing collections that families would remember in that special time of their lives.
I was responsible for setting a new direction for the layette category, which resulted in significantly increased sales and triple digit sales comps and an increase in total market share of the company for the entire newborn division.
